We work every day to make better use of resources.

Sustainability is firmly anchored at LÄPPLE Automotive - ecologically, economically and socially. We rely on resource-conserving technologies, energy-efficient processes and an infrastructure that is built to last.

Whether production, logistics or site development - we think in cycles and act with an eye to tomorrow. We continuously review and improve our measures - with the aim of becoming a little better every day.

Living responsibility

CO₂ reduction as part of our responsibility

Our goal is clear: to continuously reduce CO₂ emissions along the entire value chain. We systematically record our carbon footprint and reduce our environmental impact by using more energy-efficient technologies. Together with our partners, we are working on climate-friendly solutions - for a lower-emission industry of tomorrow.

Resource efficiency in our production

Our production processes are designed for maximum resource conservation - from energy-efficient forming technology and intelligent use of materials to closed-loop recycling management. By using automated guided vehicles (AGVs), digital process twins and smart layout design, we minimize consumption and avoid unnecessary idle times.

Responsibility along the supply chain

We pay attention to fair working conditions, environmental protection and human rights - not only for us, but also for our suppliers. By implementing the requirements of the German Supply Chain Duty of Care Act (LkSG) and transparent supplier management, we create trust and security throughout the entire supply chain.

What we have already achieved

CO2 emissions

We have been regularly recording our greenhouse gas emissions for our GHG balance sheet since 2021. In Scope 1 and Scope 2, we have been able to reduce our CO2 consumption by around 60% since 2019 thanks to our various measures. We are proud of this and are continuing to work on the reduction.

Power consumption

Through targeted investments in energy-efficient technology, the optimization of production processes and company-wide energy awareness, we have been able to reduce our electricity consumption by around 20 % since 2017

Gas consumption

Thanks to modern heating technology, better thermal insulation and intelligent process control, we have reduced our gas consumption by around 20% since 2020 . In this way, we are actively conserving fossil resources.

Fresh water consumption

By using closed cooling circuits, modern cooling systems and filter systems, we have been able to reduce fresh water consumption in Germany by 23% since 2018.

100 % green electricity

Since 2022, all of LÄPPLE Automotive's German sites have been sourcing their electricity entirely from renewable energy sources.
We are thus sending a clear signal for climate-friendly business.

Share of electromobility

We are switching to electric-powered vehicles in our fleet wherever possible. Our forklift fleet has been fully electric since 2019. The proportion of our company vehicles with alternative drive systems currently is around 30%.

Photovoltaic system

At the Heilbronn site, 4,136 photovoltaic modules were installed on an area of almost 8,000 square meters. The system can generate a yield of around 1,615,000 kWh. The self-consumption rate of the electricity generated is around 90 percent. This helps us to save around 565 tons of CO2 per year.

Closed Loop

Integrated, precise material separation makes it possible to recycle materials efficiently and reduce waste to a minimum. The separated material is then transported away in an environmentally friendly manner and in closed loops.
